Robomap Docs
Devices and data
Register devices and locations, review logs and incidences, and export workspace data from Robomap.
What it does
Robomap stores locations (sites) and devices (PLCs, RTUs, robots, sensors, and other equipment). Telemetry and events appear under Data as logs, incidences, frames, and related views.
For how edge gateways and OT networks connect, see Connection architecture.
Locations
- Open Locations in the app (
/locations). - Create a site with name and address or coordinates.
- Assign devices to the location so maps and filters stay accurate.
Devices
- Open Devices (
/devices). - Register a device with a clear name, type, and location.
- Use the device detail view for status, recent activity, and linked alerts.
Spot robots imported from Boston Dynamics Orbit appear as devices with type boston_dynamics_spot after you sync from Account → Integrations → Boston Dynamics.
Data views
| View | Path | Contents |
|---|---|---|
| Data hub | /data | Entry point for telemetry views |
| Logs | /data/logs | Device messages and tags |
| Incidences | /data/incidences | Alerts and severity |
| Frames | /data/frames | Structured telemetry frames |
Export to Google
If Google is connected under Account → Integrations → Google, use Open in Google on Devices, Data, or Agriculture to create or update a Sheet (tabular) or Doc (summary). Robomap only accesses Drive files it creates.
Troubleshooting
- No new logs — confirm the device is assigned to a location, the edge path is online, and you are viewing the correct organization or team filters.
- Device missing after Orbit sync — open the Boston Dynamics integration and run Sync robots again; check the Orbit token is still valid.
- Export disabled — connect Google first; if the card shows not configured, an administrator must enable Google OAuth for your deployment.
